my asus has the same problem, so i took it to best buy and demanded them give me a new one and they said that it was my fault the buttons are tight, and my $70 warranty doesnt cover thhat!

i use the arrow keys or arrow+fn for page down when you scroll up and down a website. beats any kind of pad. there is also the multithouch thingy but the keyboard is 90% of what you need to navigate.
also good luck with you battery life on the acer. all people i know who have the acer netbook have stopped using it because the battery is total shit and they cant be bothered to bring it anywhere. acer is also total crap. they are well known for their crappy notbooks.

i have the ssame asus as you. i love it! and u just have an defective one, mine clicks pefectly.also people say it cant run to many programs, i was runing 4 very demanding programs and it worked great.
